ā€œthe magic of new beginnings: Q2 plans and goalsā€

Yesterday I hosted my 2nd journaling workshop in Toledo, and it was so magical! šŸ˜

The theme of this workshop was ā€œnuevos comienzosā€, which in English means ā€˜new beginnings’ - it was perfect timing because during the workshop we celebrated:

🌷 The start of Spring (at least in the Northern Hemisphere!)

🌷 A new quarter

🌷 The new moon

🌷 And new beginnings in life!

Which got me reflecting on how I loveeee the magic of new beginnings and ā€˜starting over’. Have you ever heard something along the lines of ā€˜sticking to one thing and mastering it’? Or getting really good at one thing before starting another?

Well, I’m not very good at that šŸ˜…

Mainly because I’ve got lots of interests, ideas, and things I want to do… I end up ā€˜starting over’ a lot. So I guess you could say that I am very good at the act of starting over and tapping into the magic of new beginnings to use that energy as a catalyst to go towards a more aligned and intentional life - whew, just spun some words out there that sounded like magic to me!!

In all seriousness, as we enter into Spring, Q2, and an energetic new year… it feels like there’s lots of magic in the air (or I’m just creating it) šŸ˜‰

The reason I love ā€˜new beginnings’ is that there is a blank slate, and the possibilities are actually limitless.

A new beginning means:

  • There are no rules as to how I’m supposed to do something, because this is the ā€˜first’ time I will do it

  • There are no limits as to what I can do, because I am creating the adventure as I go along

  • There are endless opportunities, because this is the first time that someone (LIKE ME!!) is doing this, which means there will be new ideas, ways of doing things, and lessons that only I can experience

And all of that energy gets me SO excited because it lets my imagination play! 🌈🌤✨

While my imagination likes to run with ALL THE IDEAS that I have, narrowing them down is where I sometimes run into trouble. So many ideas, how will I do them all in the time I have?!

Cue the ā€˜time anxiety’ and feeling like I’m already behind on ALL THE THINGS when I haven’t even started ANY OF THE THINGS - you get me, right?

During my journaling workshop, we actually talked about this exact thing - getting really excited about all the ideas and new beginnings that you’re then consumed with analysis paralysis and overwhelm of WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE FIRST?!

I love a multitasking moment to be more efficient with time… but unfortunately, multitasking with ideas that are important to us just doesn’t work the same way.

If you’ve got competing ideas or goals for this next quarter, here’s how to prioritize the ones that make the most sense for this next season of your life:

  1. Braindump and list out all your ideas and goals for the next quarter

  2. Then, categorize your goals into different areas of life (eg: relationships, career, health, fitness, finances, etc.)

  3. Now, prioritize your goals based on urgency and importance (what is THE most important thing you want to get done in the next 3 months)

  4. Once you prioritize, answer these questions: ā€œWhy is this goal important to me?ā€ and ā€œHow will achieving this goal help my life?ā€

  5. Finally, once you have that, it’s time for my favorite part… break down your goal into a timeline and action plan to get it done

🌟 Ok, and a lil’ extra bonus: find accountability to share those goals and support you in reaching them.

If you want accountability and support to turn your goals (or ideas) into reality during Q2, let’s do this together and in community!

The Plans to Progress Lounge is OPEN, the community space to get accountability and values-driven goal planning for sustainable productivity.

If you join by 31st March, you’ll also receive a 60min 1:1 strategy call with me to map out your goals and create an action plan for them!

āœļø THIS WEEK’S JOURNALING PROMPT

A letter from future me ā™„ļø

We worked on this prompt during my journaling workshop! I asked the participants to write a letter from ā€˜future them’ dated June 30, 2025. In the letter, I told them to write in the present tense, talking about what life looks like on June 30th, how their goals panned out, how they feel, what they’re most proud of, and how they celebrated themselves for all their intentionality over the past 3 months. The secret here is to save this letter somewhere and re-read it on June 30th to see what came true ✨

šŸ’» THINGS THAT STUCK OUT TO ME

  • PEEK INSIDE THE PLANS TO PROGRESS LOUNGE: I went live on IG to talk about the Plans to Progress Lounge and shared a behind-the-scenes look into what the Lounge looks like, our community spaces, upcoming course access, and what I’m most excited about!

  • CUTEST ITEMS FOR THE MODERN HIPPIE: My friend Meghan is the founder of Chicka & Co., a brand selling goods for the modern hippie. She just had a shop relaunch, and I am OBSESSED with all of the items she’s got!

  • LATEST BOOK RECOMMENDATION: I met with a friend for coffee this week and she recommended this book to me, ā€œMany Lives, Many Mastersā€ by Brian Weiss. I haven’t read the book yet, but it is now being added to my TBR for the future!

šŸ—“ PREPARING FOR THE WEEK AHEAD

šŸ’°Budget Tracking & Revisions

Imma be honest with you and say that I am pretty diligent with budget tracking and finances for the business side of my life, but when it comes to my personal finances… well, let’s just say I am a lil’ too flexible šŸ˜–

I had a conversation with my partner this week (the designated bookkeeper and financial coach of our relationship), and he shared some tips on how to be more diligent with my personal finances and gave me some ideas on how to distribute savings.

I now have a new list of personal expenses to track, and what I’m working on is figuring out the amount I want to add to each of these ā€˜vaults’ so I can better control my money and be more intentional with it. WHEW it is uncomfortable doing this - idk why doing it for business is so much easier!

I know allotting time to this will help me feel less financial stress if I have a low month in the business and give me more financial space to do the things I want, like fun trips to visit family or actually retire by 40 šŸ˜…

🌻 GOODIES YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED

Journaling has been my most consistent habit for over 10 years. Having the right prompts or questions for my journaling practice makes a big difference. In this video, I’m sharing 3 journaling prompts for self-love and growth - from beginner to advanced - that I hope help guide you in your journaling sessions šŸ’–
